First of all, from all the organizers of the Flamenco Festival and the House of Flamenco "Flamenquería Moscow", we would like to express our sincere thanks for your participation in the Contest. We greatly appreciate your professionalism, discipline and patience: many of you have a long way, there are always some technical problems or waits that seem to be unfinished in the hall or on the scene...

However, despite an endless number of difficult moments during the preparation of an event as big as the Festival, we are pleased to contemplate its development, and also we hightlight the evolution of the technical and artistic level of the contestants. Musicians, singers and dancers.. thanks to all of you for making the final pass in one breath for both the public and the jury.

This year the jury has faced difficulties in giving evaluations to the contestants, and after a long discussion the members of the jury have distributed the prizes as follows:

1. nomination for Best Flamenco Soloist: Ekaterina Kovtun and Julia Katyshkina
2. Nomination for Best Performance in Traditional Flamenco: Julia Ivanova
3. nomination for Best musical performance: Gleb Okunev
4. nomination for The Performance in Contemporary flamenco: the prize has not been awarded
5. special mention to Natalia Pribytko and Svetlana Savelieva

All the above mentioned winners, chosen by our authorized jury were awarded with material prizes of 100,000 (one hundred thousand) rubles from the non-profit Foundation of the collaboration in promotion and popularization of the cultural heritage of Spain and the Spanish speaking countries "DUENDE". The contestants with special mention were awarded with prizes of 50,000 (fifty thousand) rubles.

Apart from the prizes mentioned above, the House of Flamenco "Flamenquería Sevilla" has highlighted the following companies this year:

1. Flemish dance company (Volzhskiy)
2. Anna Fedorova (Kazán)
3. Milan Yegorov (Yakutsk)

These participants did not pass to the final of the XV International Festival of Flamenco Viva España, nevertheless they demonstrated their motivation and interest in the flamenco culture, and they receive a consolation prize that is a scholarship for 10 days for courses at the school Flamenquería Sevilla, which can be used at any time in 2017.

We hope that the stay in the House of Flamenco "Flamenqueria” in Moscow has been not only pleasant, but also inspiring to carry out new creative ideas.

The organization of the International Flamenco Festival Viva España is always open to collaboration; We will also be happy to receive your constructive comments about a better organization of the Contest and the Festival in general.
